It's sad that Photocommunications no longer exists. The photography has been outstanding and I congradulate the staff. I hope that any future photography will still capture the spirit of SIU in the same way as the staff of Photocommunications who lived and breathed it.

I earned my PhD from SIU in Journalism (1981). Just took time tonight to locate this site and love it. The images photographic are spectacular and bring such wonderful memories of the time my family and I spent on campus there studying, teaching, living in the international housing area and making friends. Currently serving as Dean of Fine Arts and Communication at Biola University in Southern California.

I attended SIU from 1956 thru 1958. I was a Music Education Major, and my favorite places on campus were Altgeld Hall, and Shryock Auditorium, especially the tower with the organ in it. I was also active in Modern Dance, and we gave numerous performances in Shryock. Just the smell of the place was magical. I loved it at SIU. Some of the best years of my life. I now live in South Carolina.
